275 Mr. Deasy asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the cost involved in maintaining an elderly person in their own home as opposed to seeking a placement for them in a public hospital or a nursing home; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [1616/05]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe cost involved in maintaining an older person at home or in a public hospital or in a nursing home depends on the type of medical needs, accommodation and health services required. The information requested cannot therefore be provided as each individual's circumstances will differ.
