175 Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if his attention has been drawn to the case of a person (details supplied); if he has made representations to the German authorities in respect of this case and its negative repercussions for the achievement of a peaceful resolution in the case of the Turkish-Kurdish conflict; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I understand that Mr. Remzi Kartal was detained in Germany on 22 January on the basis of an international arrest warrant issued by Turkey. Mr. Kartal is detained in Nuremberg and his case is under consideration by the German judicial authorities. I do not intend to make representations to the German authorities about this case.
