23 Mr. Boyle asked the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if his Department has carried out or commissioned any research on the effects on business of the current system of commercial rates, compared to a system of site value taxation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. This matter is the primary responsibility of the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government. My Department has not carried out or commissioned research on the effects on businesses of the current system of commercial rates compared to a system of site value taxation.
