96 Dr. Twomey asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the amount of funding Cork University Hospital receives for its neurosurgical unit; the number of procedures carried out in this unit; and the number of inpatients and outpatients attending annually. [6409/05]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Health Act 2004 provided for the Health Service Executive, which was established on 1 January 2005. Under the Act, the executive has the responsibility to manage and deliver, or arrange to be delivered on its behalf, health and personal social services. This includes responsibility for the provision of services at Cork University Hospital. Accordingly, my Department has requested the chief officer for the executive's southern area to respond to the Deputy directly in relation to the information requested.
