449 Ms Burton asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the number of persons employed in his private office and his constituency office; the annual amount paid in respect of salaries and expenses in regard to each such office; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThere are 7.8 staff assigned to my private office and six staff working in my constituency office. A breakdown of the number of staff and the equivalent grade concerned is listed in the following tables.

Remuneration of these staff is in accordance with the appropriate published standard Civil Service scales for clerical officer, executive officer, higher executive officer and principal officer. Both these offices are operating within their respective authorised numbers.
