247 Ms Enright asked the Minister for Education and Science the number of post-primary schools in the State; the number of these which are secondary, community, comprehensive and vocational schools, and the number which are fee paying; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [13722/05]
Amharc ar fhreagraIn the 2004-05 school year, there are 742 recognised post-primary schools in the State. There are 403 secondary schools, 247 vocational schools, 16 comprehensive schools and 76 community schools. There are 58 fee paying schools, which are included in the overall total of 742 recognised post-primary schools.
