Amharc ar fhreagraI refer the Deputy to the reply I gave to Question No. 346 on Tuesday, 8 March 2005. I have received many representations, including one from the Castleblayney Committee, requesting that the persons concerned be permitted to return to Ireland. I am satisfied that these persons were deported following a fair and comprehensive examination of their asylum claims and of their applications for leave to remain temporarily in the State. I do not intend to revoke their deportation orders, and consequently a meeting with the committee would serve no useful purpose.
