249 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government when he expects the urban renewal scheme for Kilcock to be implemented; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13854/05]
Amharc ar fhreagraA strategy document prepared by Kildare County Council proposes extensive works at the Square, Kilcock. The proposed works include significant improvements to footpaths and pedestrian areas, together with soft landscaping and provision of street furniture. These works are due to be carried out in 2006 under the urban and village renewal measure of the southern and eastern regional operational programme for 2000 to 2006.
Kildare County Council has indicated that it remains its intention to undertake the above works in Kilcock in 2006.
