116 Mr. Carey asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children when it is planned to have the new health centre in Ballymun, Dublin 11, fitted out; when it is expected to be fully operational and available for patient treatment; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [16149/05]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Health Act 2004 provided for the establishment of the Health Service Executive on 1 January 2005. Under the Act, the executive has the responsibility to manage and deliver, or arrange to be delivered on its behalf, health and personal social services. This includes responsibility for the provision of health centres. Accordingly, my Department has requested the chief officer for the executive's eastern regional area to investigate the matter raised and reply directly to the Deputy.

Responsibility for the issue raised by the Deputy rests with the national hospitals office of the Health Service Executive. Accordingly, my Department has requested the director of the office to investigate the issue raised and reply directly to the Deputy.
