190 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of community gardaí allocated to an area (details supplied) in Dublin 7; the areas which they cover; the plans to make additional community gardaí available; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17601/05]
Amharc ar fhreagraI have been informed by the Garda authorities, which are responsible for the detailed allocation of resources including personnel, that the current personnel strength of the community policing unit at Cabra Garda station is four. Garda authorities have also informed me that two of these gardaí are deployed on a full-time basis to the Navan Road area, encompassing Ashington, Kinvara, Ashtown, Darling, Kempton and their environs. Local Garda management reviews the deployment of personnel on an ongoing basis and is satisfied with the current deployment of community gardaí in the area.
