162 Mr. Crawford asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children if her attention has been drawn to the fact that there is only one lift in Monaghan General Hospital; if funding will be provided to put in a second lift for health and safety reasons. [18193/05]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department is aware that there is one lift in Monaghan General Hospital and has supported the former North Eastern Health Board's proposal to provide a second lift and new stairs to contemporary fire escape standards. My Department sanctioned the former health board to proceed with development proposals which include the provision of this new lift. It is now a matter for the Health Service Executive to further this development.
