329 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs the expected lifetime of the RAPID programme; his views on the success of the programme to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17846/05]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs the Deputy is aware the RAPID programme is running in conjunction with the National Development Plan 2000-2006. While no formal decisions have been taken on the lifetime of the RAPID programme, the indications are that it will continue post-2006. Against the background of my work as chair of the RAPID national monitoring committee I believe that the RAPID programme can claim significant successes.
