10 Mr. Eamon Ryan asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the recent contacts by his Department with representatives of the Turkish Government; if representations have been made to his Department following comments in Dáil Éireann on 18 May 2005; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The remarks in question have not been the subject of any discussion with, or representations from, the Turkish authorities. I can only say, once again, that I deeply regret the remarks and the offence they caused.
