289 Mr. Ó Fearghaíl asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will grant permission to remain in the State to persons (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20144/05]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe person concerned made an application for permission to remain in the State on the basis of their parentage of an Irish born child under the revised arrangements announced by me on 15 January 2005. The applications were acknowledged on 27 April 2005. The applications are being dealt with in order of receipt in so far as is possible and as expeditiously as possible. Given the number of applications being processed, it will take several weeks before the processing of the applications from the persons concerned will be completed.
