My Department allocates funding on an overall basis to youth work organisations. It is a matter then for each national organisation to allocate funding on a regional basis as it considers appropriate. As a member organisation of the National Youth Federation the organisation in question receives funding from the national office. In addition, it receives grant-in-aid from the youth affairs section of my Department under the special projects for youth scheme and youth information centres funding scheme. The 2005 allocation under both these schemes is €295,768, which includes an 8% increase over 2004.
