402 Ms C. Murphy asked the Minister for Education and Science if her attention has been drawn to the contents of the final paragraph of a letter dated 26 September 2005 sent on behalf of her Department concerning a person with autism (details supplied); and if so, if she instructed her Department’s solicitors to send correspondence to this person’s solicitor. The correspondence to which the Deputy refers relates to legal proceedings taken against my Department. In that context, I cannot comment on the individual circumstances of the case other than to say that the letter in question was sent by the Chief State Solicitor's office on the instructions of my officials in response to a letter from the plaintiff's solicitors.
