349 Mr. Kehoe asked the Minister for Finance the position regarding the renovation and refurbishment of the living quarters of Oylegate Garda station, Oylegate, Enniscorthy, County Wexford; when works will commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [32886/05]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Commissioners of Public Works invited tenders for the mechanical and electrical element of the project and these were returned on 28 October 2005. The engineer is assessing the tenders and a recommendation to appoint the sub-contractors is due today, 8 November. It is the intention of the Commissioners of Public Works to immediately place the main contract and discuss commencement dates with the contractors. It is envisaged that the works at Oylegate Garda station will begin within a couple of weeks.
