258 Mr. O’Dowd asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the number of nursing homes in each county for the year 2005; the number, name and location of nursing homes on a county basis which have been inspected once only, twice only and three or more times in 2005; if there have been adverse reports following these inspections; if so, the names and locations of the homes; the number of homes which have been refused registration and the reasons therefor; the names and location of same; the number, name and location of each which has had partial registration only granted; the action that has been taken by health boards, including legal action, and the names and locations of such homes; the result of such cases; the number pending; and if any nursing home has been closed in 2005. The Deputy's question relates to the management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, the Department has requested the parliamentary affairs division of the executive to arrange to have this matter investigated and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.
