251 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance the extent of discussions and agreements reached with Kildare County Council on the completion of cleaning and drainage works at the River Slate, Allenwood, Naas, County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8206/06]
Amharc ar fhreagraResponsibility for maintenance of the River Slate lies with Kildare County Council. The Office of Public Works carried out drainage works at Allenwood in 2003 as agents for the local authority. The Office of Public Works is not in discussion with Kildare County Council on this matter and has no proposals to carry out further works.
