417 Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will report on the progress of the April 2005 application for naturalisation through marriage for a person (details supplied). [8028/06]
Amharc ar fhreagraA declaration of acceptance of Irish citizenship as post-nuptial citizenship by the person concerned was lodged with my Department on 14 April 2005. The declaration was examined recently and some additional information from the person concerned is required to complete consideration of the matter. A letter was issued in this regard in recent days. Processing of the declaration will continue when a response to this letter is received. I will advise both the Deputy and the person concerned when the matter is finalised.
