48 Ms O’Sullivan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform his views on the application for naturalisation of a person (details supplied) on the grounds that they have been working here full-time for the past six years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9679/06]
Amharc ar fhreagraAn application for a certificate of naturalisation from the person referred to by the Deputy was received in the citizenship section of my Department on 28 September 2004. The average processing time for such applications is 24 months at present. It is likely, therefore, that the application of the person concerned will be finalised in or around September this year.
I will advise the Deputy and the person concerned as soon as I have made a decision in the matter.
