525 Ms C. Murphy asked the Minister for Education and Science the measures which have been taken to ensure that the extension of the school year through the month of July is facilitated for a class which caters for students diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorders (details supplied) in view of the statement made regarding such extension; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department has received a proposal from the school in question for the provision of a July programme for pupils attending the school's special unit for pupils with autism. This proposal is currently under consideration in my Department and the school authority will be notified of the outcome as soon as possible.
