166 Dr. Cowley asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children if and when she will make provision for the patients from the south east of the country who need radiotherapy services to receive these services in their own areas; if she will ensure that this takes place; the expected commencement date of radiotherapy services to the south east; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy's question relates to the management and delivery of health and personal, social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, my Department has requested the parliamentary affairs division of the executive to respond directly to the Deputy in relation to the matter raised.
