76 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Finance if a person who is registered as a disabled driver and has a life long disability is entitled to free road tax; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21161/06]
Amharc ar fhreagraI assume that the Deputy is referring to the relief from road tax available under the Disabled Drivers and Disabled Passengers (Tax Concessions) Scheme. A person who has qualified for a Primary Medical Certificate under the Disabled Drivers and Disabled Passengers (Tax Concessions) Scheme can avail of relief from road tax under the conditions of the Scheme for as long as he/she continues to qualify for the Primary Medical Certificate.
