893 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if the proposals for amendments to Part (3) of the Regulations dealing with nutrient management sent to the Commission on 18 May 2006 have been approved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26610/06]
Amharc ar fhreagraRepresentatives of my Department, the Department of Agriculture and Food and Teagasc met with EU Commission officials on 30 May 2006 to discuss the proposals for amending Regulations and significant progress was made at this meeting. Further information was subsequently forwarded to the Commission and while consultations are ongoing I am hopeful that these can be brought to a successful conclusion shortly.
