McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Science if an application was made from a school (details supplied) in Dublin 9 for a centre of excellence which would incorporate the school and a new school building for another school; and the position in relation to this project. Amharc ar fhreagraI can confirm that my Department is currently examining a proposal for the development of a National Centre for the Visually Impaired. It is envisaged that the proposal will include provision of improved school accommodation. The proposal is currently under consideration with my Department and the Department of Health and Children.
