Ceist:

233 Mr. Curran asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when a decision will be made regarding an application by a person (details supplied) in County Dublin for naturalisation in view of the fact that the person has been resident here for more than 60 months. An application for a certificate of naturalisation from the person referred to in the Deputy's question was received in the Citizenship section of my Department on 24 May, 2006. Applications are currently taking approximately twenty-four months to process. It is likely therefore that the case will be forwarded to me for the decision around mid 2008. I will advise both the Deputy and the person concerned when I have arrived at a decision in the case.

Question No. 234 answered with QuestionNo. 217.
