430 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the amount spent to date on the e-commerce and communications infrastructure measure under the National Development Plan; the amount estimated to be spent under this measure by the end of the NDP; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe total spent to the end of June 2006 under the eCommerce and communication measures of the Border, Midlands and Western and Southern and Eastern regional operational programme is €99.6 million. The total expenditure under the programme is estimated to be €179.66 million. Although outturn for the measure is below target, expenditure will accelerate rapidly through the remainder of 2006 and during 2007. Expenditure under the programme will primarily be on the second phase of the Metropolitan Area Networks Programme.
