464 Mr. Ó Fearghaíl asked the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the position with regard to an IDA factory (details supplied) in County Kildare which is currently unoccupied; the prospects for a suitable occupant for the building being found; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In view of the Deputy's interest, I have made enquiries and I have been informed by IDA Ireland that it does not have an advance factory facility in Blacksparks Industrial Estate, Athy. However, IDA did construct a building at Woodstock Industrial Estate, Athy, County Kildare in 2000. I understand that this building is occupied by an Enterprise Ireland client company since 2004.

In view of the Deputy's interest I have made enquiries in the matter. I have been informed by IDA Ireland that the lands in question, which are located in Kildare Town, Monasterevin and Castledermot, are being marketed on an ongoing basis to potential investors, both overseas and indigenous, as a location for new investment.
