The advice referred to by the Deputy was not the subject of a report but was provided to my Department, at short notice, by way of participation in discussions in relation to increasing and accelerating the delivery of affordable housing in the Greater Dublin Area, in advance of the establishment of the Affordable Homes Partnership in August 2005. This built on previous work undertaken by the consultant concerned on behalf of the Managers of the 4 Dublin local authorities, which had culminated in the publication of a report, Social/Affordable Housing in the Dublin Region, in January 2005.
