179 Mr. Gogarty asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of summonses issued and convictions obtained in relation to the illegal use of Kennelsfort Road, Palmerstown in regard to the three tonne limit in the period from July 2006 to date in 2006. [40048/06]
Amharc ar fhreagraI am informed by the Garda authorities that in the period from 1 July to 22 November 2006 there were 8 summonses and 10 fixed charge penalty notices issued in respect of breaches of the three tonne limit on Kennelsfort Road, Palmerstown. During this period there were thirty convictions in relation to the breach of the three tonne limit at this location. It will be appreciated that proceedings are not necessarily commenced and concluded in the same year.
