511 Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if there is a requirement on local authorities to present minutes to the council of the corporate policy committee for adoption; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [41147/06]
Amharc ar fhreagraThere is no obligation under the Local Government Act 2001 which requires the minutes of the Corporate Policy Group, CPG, to be circulated to the elected council for adoption. The adoption of the minutes of CPG meetings is a matter for the Committee itself. However, I understand that it is the practice in a number of local authorities for the minutes of such meetings to be circulated to the council for information.
