19 Mr. Cuffe asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the action he will take following the recent High Court ruling which found that he breached the rights of several Irish born children in refusing their non-national parents leave to remain in the State; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraI am currently considering an appeal to the Supreme Court of the High Court judgements delivered on 14 November 2006. As the outcome of such an appeal is inextricably linked to the position of the non EU national parents of Irish citizen children referred to in the Deputy's question, I am unable to comment further until the outcome of any such appeal proceedings have been fully decided and delivered upon by the Supreme Court.
