474 Deputy Jim O’Keeffe asked the Minister for Defence the number of appointments to State boards, State bodies or other like entities which he envisages making or nominating in the period 1 July to 31 December 2007; the board, body or entity involved in each case; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraI do not envisage making appointments to the Army Pensions Board, the Civil Defence Board or the Central Council of the Irish Red Cross in the period 1 July to 31 December 2007.
With regard to Coiste an Asgard, there are no vacancies at present. However, in the period up the 31 December 2007, the term of appointment of 8 directors will expire. Directors are eligible for re-appointment.
