691 Deputy Brian Hayes asked the Minister for Education and Science the action taken by her Department on foot of correspondence (details supplied) regarding issues relating to the Waterford Institute of Technology; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [19865/07]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe correspondence to which the Deputy refers related largely to the matter of the qualifications and experience for a post to which the person named by the Deputy was appointed. The Minister of the day responded to the letter pointing out that it was an internal governance issue for the Institute concerned and that the Department had no role in the matter.
