923 Deputy Joe Costello asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the status of the investigation into the Northern Ireland bank robbery 2005; if a person (details supplied) is under investigation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20248/07]
Amharc ar fhreagraI am informed by the Garda authorities that the Garda investigation relating to the proceeds of the Northern Bank robbery is ongoing and that a Garda investigation file has been submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). The directions of the DPP are awaited. The DPP is independent in the exercise of his functions and, therefore, it would not be appropriate for me to comment further.
