Durkan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the current or proposed residency status in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Meath; if the application for naturalisation has been processed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraAn application for a certificate of naturalisation from the person referred to in the Deputy's question was received in the Citizenship Section of my Department on 26 July 2005. Officials in that Section inform me that processing of the application has commenced and it will be forwarded to me in the coming months for a decision. I will inform the Deputy and the person concerned when I have reached a decision on the application.
