415 Deputy Damien English asked the Minister for Education and Science if speech and therapy will be reinstated for a person (details supplied) in County Meath; the reason for the cessation of this service; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [22764/07]
Amharc ar fhreagraI wish to advise the Deputy that the provision of therapy services, including speech therapy for people with disabilities, is a matter for the Health Services Executive (HSE) and funding is provided to the HSE for such purposes. It is open to the Deputy to contact my colleague the Minister for Health and Children or the HSE directly regarding the matter.
