307 Deputy Phil Hogan asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the number of social houses that will be delivered under part V in 2007; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23029/07]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe delivery of social housing on foot of agreements under Part V of the Planning and Development Acts 2000 to 2006 is contingent on a range of variables, including the scale and pace of completion of housing developments and the proportionate sharing of the Part V obligation between social and affordable housing in individual local authority housing strategies. While it is not possible to provide a definitive figure for the ultimate delivery of social housing under Part V agreements in 2007, it is projected that delivery of the order of 800 units will be achieved.
