612 Deputy Enda Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government further to Parliamentary Question No. 310 of 10 October 2007, when the regulations referred to will be drawn up; when the invasive weed referred to will be banned; and if he will make a statement on the matter. It is my intention to make the regulations under section 52(6)(a) of the Wildlife Act 1976 (as amended) in the first quarter of 2008, and to provide for a short lead in time, after which possession or introduction of Lagarosiphon major will be prohibited.
