209 Deputy Catherine Byrne asked the Minister for Education and Science when the school building unit of her Department will sign off on a new school building project (details supplied) in Dublin 12; if she will expedite the construction of a new school building which has been promised since 2000. Progression of all projects to tender and construction are considered in the context of my Department's Multi-Annual School Building and Modernisation Programme.
As indicated at the post budget education briefing I intend to announce shortly the first tranche of projects that will proceed to construction in 2008.
