653 Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when a Garda patrol car will be reallocated to the Garda station at Newtowncunningham in Letterkenny, County Donegal. [3775/08]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe detailed allocation of Garda resources, including transport, is a matter for the Garda Commissioner to decide in accordance with his identified operational requirements and priorities. I am informed by the Garda authorities that the Newtowncunningham area is policed as part of the Donegal Garda Division and a total of 64 vehicles is allocated to the Division. The responsibility for the efficient deployment of all official transport in a division is assigned to the Divisional Officer who may allocate vehicles between stations as required.
