326 Deputy Billy Timmins asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the measures in the Lisbon treaty that will affect Ireland’s ability to maintain the corporate tax rate and general tax rates here; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14409/08]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Reform Treaty preserves the existing Treaty arrangements whereby taxation matters must be decided by unanimous vote. Therefore, there is no change in the existing position. Ireland's ability to decide on corporate and income tax rates remains a matter for the Irish authorities alone.
