415 Deputy Tom Sheahan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food when a co-op (details supplied) in County Kerry can expect to receive its licence to farm mussels in Sneem in view of the fact that its application has been with his Department for more than two years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department has under consideration an application for an aquaculture licence in respect of 3 sites in the Kenmare River area from the CoOp in question. A number of letters of objection to this application have been received in my Department recently. My Department has accordingly written to the CoOp requesting its comments on the issues raised by the objectors. When a response is received the matter will receive further consideration.
