Amharc ar fhreagraI wish to inform the Deputy that the Government, on my request and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2(1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 1977 (No. 28 of 1977) signed a delegation order on 24 June, 2008. Under this order, the powers and duties of the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform conferred on me by or under the Children Act 2001 (No. 24 of 2001) are delegated to Barry Andrews, Minister of State at the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform.
