Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science further to Parliamentary Question No. 259 of 21 May 2008 if an assessment has been completed in respect of this school; his plans to progress this project in the next six months in view of the increased population in the area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraAn extension project for the school in question is at an advanced stage of architectural planning.
The further progression of the project will be considered in the context of my Department's multi-annual School Building and Modernisation Programme. However, in light of current competing demands on the capital budget of the Department, it is not possible to give an indicative timeframe for the further progression of the project at this time.
