1859 Deputy Joanna Tuffy asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding the millennium partnership scheme; the location of which mature students resident in Lucan can apply for funding under this scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30823/08]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe objective of the Millennium Partnership Fund for Disadvantaged students is to support students from disadvantaged areas with regard to retention and participation in further or higher education courses. Partnership Companies and Community Groups manage the fund at a local level. The student referred to by the Deputy may contact the Blanchardstown Area Partnership on 01 8209550 which is the Local Area Partnership company for the Lucan area.
