872 Deputy Leo Varadkar asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of staff sent from his Department and its agencies to a conference (details supplied); the cost of sending staff to the conference; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29997/08]

I can inform the Deputy that a Principal Officer from the Courts Service attended as a speaker at the conference in question and therefore there was no conference fee incurred. I am advised that no other staff attended the conference from my Department or its associated agencies.
