45 Deputy Leo Varadkar asked the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism if a company (details supplied) has been awarded contracts by his Department, or its agencies, since 2000 to date in 2008; the value and the length of any contract signed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [35095/08]
Amharc ar fhreagraSince its establishment in June 2002, the Department, including the National Archives, has not awarded any contract to the company in question.
In respect of the agencies under the aegis of the Department, the placing of contracts is a matter for the agencies themselves.

Amharc ar fhreagraThe Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs was established in June 2002. Since that date, my Department has no record of awarding any contract to the company referred to by the Deputy. In addition, I am advised that no contract has been awarded by any of the agencies under the ambit of my Department to the company referred to by the Deputy.
