204 Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the position with regard to the planned Lower Harbour/Cork main drainage scheme; if the funding is available for the scheme; and when he expects the project to proceed to construction stage. [40364/08]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Cork Lower Harbour Sewerage Scheme is included in my Department's Water Services Investment Programme 2007 – 2009 as a scheme to begin construction in 2009 at an estimated cost of €73.5 million. My Department will complete its assessment of Cork County Council's Preliminary Report for this scheme following confirmation from Cork County Council of the approval by an Bord Pleanala of the Environmental Impact Statement for the scheme.
